Meeting Info:
  Want to support the arts? The Arts Council meets the third Tuesday of each month, unless moved due to a holiday. Meetings begin at 6:30 pm and are held in the Meeting Room at the Whitman County Library, Colfax Branch, 120 S. Main Street in Colfax, Washington. Everyone is welcome!
 
Banner Competition
 The Banner competition is a public art competition for hand painted banners to hang in downtown colfax.  The 2012 competition is closed and the theme was "The Palouse Country". The juried competition is open to all ages and people from around the world. Start thinking of your banner idea for next year and join us for the celebration at the Colfax Library May 3, 2012.
The Community is invited to the celebration and announcement of the People's Choice award. The reception is May 3rd at 7 pm at the Colfax Library. Refreshments will be served.

 Make sure you check out the banners along main street when driving through Colfax. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this year's event a success.
   
 
Did you know? The annual H'Art of the Palouse Banner Competition is open to everyone. You don't have to live in the Palouse to participate! So, invite your friends and family from around the world to take part in the competition. For more information visit the banner page here. Applications for 2013 will be available soon.
 

Meet the Artist

   Join us at the Colfax Library for the Meet the Artist series, co-sponsored by the Whitman County Library. Held the first Thursday of every month at 7pm in the library's meeting room. Free and open to the public, this is an excellent opportunity to meet local artists, see their work and ask them questions.
